Well that didn't work!

I tried putting Nate to bed an hour earlier last night and he just cried and cried...so he ended up falling asleep on the living room floor at the same time he usually does. It's now 6:30 am and we are watching (go ahead and guess) Peter Pan. I'm tired...and sitting here with a big old cuppa coffee. Danika is sleeping soundly in my bed. She woke up around 4:00 am. I'm tired...did I say that already? Hmmm...

We're going potty shopping today. I'm nervous about starting, but so excited about the possibility of getting him outta diapers.

I was thinking about what else (other than my kiddo's sleeping issues) I wanted to post about today. I thought I'd post some lists of favorites over the next few days to help those of you who don't really know me all that well to get to know me a bit better. So, here's the first list of things.

Ten things that I LOVE that can be found in my house at this very moment
(this doesn't include any movies or books or people or places ~ those will come later)

1. Tom Tucker Mint Ginger Ale ~ My great-grandmother always had this on hand and it reminds me of being little...and reminds me of her.

2. My computer ~ I can waste days and days on my computer.

3. My bathrobe ~ I love being in my pajamas and my bathrobe is the most cozy comfy thing ever.

4. My cell phone ~ I really like the mobile web and VCast on my phone, too.

5. My refrigerator ~ We didn't pay as much as it says it costs on the website. I LOVE my refrigerator...The freezer on the bottom rocks and I love having everything eye level in my fridge. The ice maker is pretty cool, too.

6. Dunkin' Doughnuts coffee ~ It really is some of the best coffee...I've become more of a coffee person these days.

7. My Dyson ~ You can totally tell I'm a housewife when two of my favorite things are a refrigerator and a vacuum cleaner. Seriously, though, the Dyson rocks.

8. My bedroom furniture ~ it was one of the first furniture purchases hubby and I made. There are 3 pieces, a dresser for me and a dresser for hubby (his is taller but mine has more drawers) and a night stand. It matches the bed frame my parents gave us.

9. Danika's BeBe Pod ~ I don't know how I made it through 4-8 months with Nate and didn't have this chair. Danika loved sitting up in it and now I use it for Ethan. If you would have a use for it I HIGHLY recommend it.

10. My cookbooks ~ I know this is a lot of things and not just one, but I love looking at cookbooks in general. I'm not that great of a cook, but I'm getting better. I love looking at recipes and trying them out (if they are easy enough!)

Well, there you have it. Pretty lame list, I think. I'll try to wow you with my list of favorite books, movies or places...those will be to come. For now, I'm off to watch that bucket of hormones and the boy in tights again. HeLp! :)

Good luck with the potty training, we're still working on it. giving her M&M's after she goes works well, plus she has a sticker chart. She's pooped on the potty 4 times in the past week, but she doesn't tell me she has to go. I see "the look" and rush her in. haha. I guess I should read the potty book I got to find out exactly what I'm supposed to do instead of doing it my own way or listening to others. However, I did get HER two potty books and she loves them. She wants to read them all day long. Maybe that helps.

I hope you get some rest hun.
good luck with the potty training. i put nathan on the big potty backwards so he could reach and see and put fruit loops in the potty for him to aim at. but it worked.
