Halloween pics and such

I'm back ~ kinda...anyone there? Probably not, after all I took like 9 days off blogging...cut me some slack - I've been working on a Christmas list. Oh, and Christmas shopping because I'm determined not to get stuck needing to shell out 300 + bucks on gifts all at once. I'm trying to do a little bargain hunting...which is sooo not me. I'm pretty new at the whole toy shopping thing. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. We aren't going crazy with our kiddos, but we have a lot of other kids to buy for...I mean my SIL popped out 4 all by herself! Add that to my sister's little one and my other SIL's 2...plus a few very close friends who have kiddos...I think the total comes to 12 kids not counting my own. As of right now I have 5 bought and 2 picked out...not an awful start.

We also have 4 birthdays in November (now it's 5 because my friend, Colleen, just had a son ~ Quinton Joseph!). Angelina's birthday was the 1st (see cake pic above). Mia and Kaitlyn share today as their birthday...and Nate turns two on the 19th. February must be one of the top months to "get it on" because that's a lot of babies. :)

In other news, I've gotten the three kiddos on a schedule. It's not a set in stone schedule and daylight savings kinda threw us a bit, but it's enough that I'm not pulling my hair out everyday. I will say there is something about a child crying that is not your own that kinda gives you that nails on chalkboard feeling some days. Like today...but I can't be "upset" with ET for very long...he has the cutest smile! I was trying to lay him down for his second nap today and he was fighting it. I knew that Danika was probably not doing something she should be doing and needed to hurry - totally my fault, I know...but he was giving me a tough time and I was getting agitated. (FYI ~ I've done this with my own kids, too...so don't think I'm pickin' on him) I started to hold him a little closer...you know that snugness that babies like that helps them to relax. I did that and bounced up and down a little bit (we were listening to The Carpenters - can you believe that?) He looked up at me with the smile and I melted. Then he fell asleep.

He's waking up now...so I should probably go before he wakes everyone up. Party Party tonight for Mia - Nate's gonna be so excited. He's in love with cake. We "talked" yesterday and he told me he wants a Baby Jaguar cake for his birthday. I'm gonna give it a shot.

Who made Angelina's cake? It's so cute!!!

I've been doing a lot of Christmas shopping on QVC. They have all kinds of things that you can buy that are in multiples then you can split up the gifts. That's what I'm doing with my niece and nephews, as well us adults too. For example, I bought 3 cute gingerbread candes for like $25. Three different people are getting those.
